Charla de Postgrado

El pasado martes 12 de Octubre se realizó una nueva Charla de postgrado, en la modalidad online.

En esta ocasión se trató de un invitada externa, ex alumna de nuestro Departamento.
Relator: SURANGKHANA RUDKEE. “I a scientist at PANTER/ Max Planck Institute for extraterrestrial Physics working with X-ray Optics for Einstein Probe and Athena. I had two beautiful years doing my postdoc at the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian since Nov. 2018. I work as an astronomical instrumentalist. My research interests include high resolution spectroscopy in UV, optical and infrared for searching and characterizing exoplanets and their atmospheres, extreme precise radial velocity measurements and Fabry Perot Interferometers. I developed a new Fabry Perot based instrument for oxygen searches in exoplanet atmospheres, with the G-CLEF team at Harvard. I received my B.Sc. in Physics and Material Science with a joint program in Geology from Chiang Mai University, Thailand. I obtained my M.Sc. in Astronomy and Space Science at the Korean Astronomy and Space Science Institute where I took part in the design of the IGRINS mirror mounts. I did my PhD in an astro-engineering program with Prof. Leonardo Vanzi at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Our team work focuses on the design and development of exoplanet hunters such as FIDEOS, TARdYS and PLATOSPEC.”

Título: The next leap to characterize exoplanet atmosphere in the ELTs era.
