UC-USM consortium delegation visit to European universities
A delegation headed by the dean of the UC School of Engineering, Juan Carlos de la Llera, and USM liaison director of USM, Patricio Núñez, visited leading universities and research centers in France, Switzerland and Germany, such as INRIA, ETH Zurich and ENSTA, among others.
A delegation from The Clover 2030 Consortium visited leading universities and research centers in France, Switzerland and Germany in order to promote joint work and foster partnerships for future collaborations across different areas of engineering.
The tour, which was headed by the dean of the Universidad Católica (UC) School of Engineering , Juan Carlos de la Llera, and the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María (USM) liaison director , Patricio Núñez, kicked off on September 22nd in France with visits to INRIA, ENSTA, The Center of Research and Interdiciplinarity (CRI), Mines ParisTech, L’Ecole Polytechnique, Centrale Supelec, ENSCi Les Ateliers, Universite Paris-Saclay and the EDF R&D Center.
Following on from France, representatives of the Corfo, Engineering 2030 UC-USM partnership travelled to Switzerland, where they made a stop in Lausanne to visit the Polytechnic School of Lausanne (EPFL) and the EFederal Polytechnic School of Zurich (ETH), where they had the opportunity to meet with authorities and important academics to foster collaborative links and get to know the research centers.
On october 4th the delegation is set to conclude the tour in Germany with a visit to the Technical University of Munich (TUM), and in particular, the Integrative Research Center as well as the Corporative Research Center.
