We have four main interdisciplinary focusses: health, sustainability, information, and engineering as a vehicle for scientific discovery.

Health

The important challenges that Chile faces regarding health can be addressed through engineering, such as with new food processes, advances in biomedical technologies, and the optimization of industrial procedures, among others.

Information

The areas of electrical engineering, computer science, and mining engineering provide relevant support to the development of information.

Sustainability

Technological advances in the areas of energy, transportation, mining, and various industries will provide solutions to a number of challenges related to sustainability and the environment.
