Major in Engineering, Design, and Innovation (IDI)

The Major in Engineering, Design, and Innovation prepares students to identify and face the problems affecting society. Students receive the skills training needed to detect opportunities for designing and implementing user-based solutions, specifically within the contexts of innovation and entrepreneurship. These skills are materialized through innovative solutions that are socially and environmentally responsible, that are feasibly designed, and that result in a final product that responds to specific needs.

This is an interdisciplinary major that combines engineering with design. Graduates of this program will be prepared, according to chosen specializations, to manage projects in engineering and associated areas or to apply design methodologies towards graphically and computationally planning, developing, and presenting created projects.
