Majors in Engineering and Architecture develop the abilities to design and implement fluid, feasible, and sustainable design and construction processes. Students receive an education that combines engineering with an awareness of form and context. Additionally, students will gain and understanding of and manage the needs and information flow between engineering and architecture.
This major has a limited number of slots, due to which, there is a selection process.
The Major in Engineering and Architecture allows students to obtain traditional degrees from the UC School of Engineering or, if desired, to obtain certification as a UC Architect, as long as all established requirements are met.
This course will allow students to obtain a general vision of the Major in Engineering and Architecture and the areas of knowledge that are studied.
The graduates of Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a Major in Engineering and Architecture can exercise their profession in areas such as construction, structural engineering, architectonic workshops, sustainable works, materials engineering, design fundamentals, and the fine arts.
