PUC and the SISS sign agreement of research cooperation
The agreement will be executed through the School of Engineering and formalizes the ongoing work that professionals of the superintendence and researchers of CIGIDEN have been carrying out recently.
On January 11th, the Superintendence of Sanitary Services (SISS) and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC) signed a cooperation agreement for joint work in the area of natural disaster risk management through the development of research activities, academic events and the exchange of information and relevant data.
The agreement will be implemented by PUC Engineering and formalizes the collaboration relationship that began in 2018 through the development of various projects promoted by researchers from this unit and the Research Center for Integrated Disaster Risk Management (CIGIDEN).
The ceremony was headed by the Vice-rector of Communications UC, Paulina Gómez, the Superintendent, Ronaldo Bruna, and the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor Juan Carlos de la Llera. Representatives of the Ministry of Health, the National Association of Health Services Companies (ANDESS), the Chilean chapter of the Inter-American Association of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering (AIDIS Chile) and researchers from the School of Engineering and CIGIDEN were also present.
