This is an interdisciplinary program that aims to establish a channel through which engineering can transfer and apply physics to society. This channel will provide the engineering disciplines with new sources of information and with access to scientific discoveries in physics.
Students can combine this solid education in physics with a conventional area of engineering or applied science, thereby facilitating the design and development of technologies in the fields of materials, energy, microelectronics, and signals, among others, as well as being applicable for graduate studies in engineering and applied science.
This course will allow students to obtain a general vision of the Major in Physics Engineering and the areas of knowledge that are studied.
“This major will allow you to understand the fundamentals of current technology through an extensive training in science that combines classical and modern physics along with mathematics, chemistry and biology, with a special focus on applications of physics to mechanical and electrical engineering for solve real problems of society”, Christian Oberli Graf
