National Undergraduate Accreditation

 

 

 

 

According to Law No. 21,091 of 2018 on Higher Education, undergraduate careers whose accreditation is not mandatory, such as Engineering, can only be re-accredited as of 2025.

The last national accreditation process for professional titles was carried out by the Chile A&C Accreditation Agency in 2013. The result of this process was as follows:

  • Civil Engineering, with academic diplomas in: Environmental Engineering; Construction Engineering and Management; Project Design and Construction Engineering; Structural Engineering; Geotechnical Engineering; Hydraulic Engineering; Mining Engineering, and Transport Engineering – Accredited for 7 years, until August 2020.
  • Civil Engineering of Industry, with academic diplomas in: Environmental Engineering; Bioprocesses Engineering; Computer Science Engineering; Electrical Engineering; Hydraulic Engineering; Engineering Mathematics; Mechanical Engineering; Chemical Engineering; Information Technology Engineering; Transport Engineering; and Construction Engineering – Accredited for 7 years, until August 2020.
  • Civil Electrical Engineer – Accredited or 7 years, until August 2020.
  • Mechanical Engineer – Accredited or 7 years, until August 2020.
  • Civil Engineer in Computer Science – Accredited or 7 years, until August 2020.
  • Civil Engineer in Biotechnology – Accredited for 6 years, until August 2019.
