Request Acceptance Mechanisms for Same-day Delivery

Abstract

We study an alternative setting to the Dynamic Dispatch Waves Problem with reduced flexibility in which customers are offered same-day delivery (SDD) when placing an order, and if a customer selects the option then SDD is guaranteed. To do so, we use an immediate accept or reject framework integrated to the order distribution problem.
