Towards Operations Research for all

Abstract

This special issue of Annals of Operations Research gathers accepted manuscripts resulting from the call for papers dedicated to CLAIO 2018, the XIX Latin-Iberian-American Conference on Operations Research. The CLAIO conference series is the flagship academic event of the Operations Research community of Latin America. It is endorsed by ALIO, the Latin-Iberian-American Association of Operations Research that is recognized as the regional grouping of IFORS, the International Federation of Operational Research Societies. The first CLAIO was held in Brazil in 1982 and takes place every two years at different countries of the region. The XIX edition of the conference was held in Lima, Peru, from September 24–27, 2018, organized by the Peruvian Society of Operations Research, SOPIOS. The conference received more than 420 submissions, from which 366 were accepted and presented.
