Gift of a Generation
The Gift of a Generation is an initiative that began with the graduating class of 2010 and has since become a tradition within the School of Engineering.
Aware of the need for greater inclusion in University admissions, the class of 2010 began a collection drive among graduating students to establish a scholarship fund dedicated to providing financial aid to the Talent and Inclusion Program at UC Engineering.
Thanks to this initiative, the graduating classes of 2010 to 2015 donated 15 million Chilean pesos.
The 2016 graduating class took this initiative to the next level – restructuring the concept of a gift to include non-monetary support initiatives. Such gifts range from donated school materials to mentorship hours that benefit students in the T+I Program.
